Cocoabuterol Cocoa Extract
When people hear ‘cocoa’ they tend to associate it with chocolate, and chocolate doesn’t exactly get associated with health. However, chocolate is made from the fat component extracted from the cocoa bean (cocoa butter) and the leftover ‘cocoa powder’ is actually a nutritional powerhouse!
Cocoa is rich in polyphenols, which are chemicals that naturally occur in plants. The polyphenols found in cocoa are super chemicals that have a wide variety of beneficial physiological effects such as:
In addition to polyphenols, cocoa contains an abundance of alkaloids. Alkaloids are chemicals that bind to cell receptors called beta adrenoceptors, which then increase a signaling molecule called cyclic adenosine monophosphate, AKA cAMP. cAMP has a lot of intracellular uses, including activation of fat burning and muscle building pathways.
Cocoabuterol is an ingredient often found in weight loss supplements. It harnesses the power of cocoa extract’s polyphenols and alkaloids, and combines them with extra theobromine for fat burning and stimulatory effects. Cocoabuterol’s main purpose is to significantly aid weight loss, but its cocoa derivative also boosts energy, elevates mood, and provides antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
