Look, we all know we need to eat fruits and vegetables. With all of the chaos going on right now with COVID-19, your local grocery store/fruit stand/farmer’s market might have already been ravaged and running low on stock (like toilet paper for some reason). Here's how you can get creative so you can still get your daily dose of nutrients.
Enter the frozen foods aisle. Frozen fruits and vegetables are generally frozen shortly after being harvested, which can allow them to be more nutrient dense than their fresh brothers and sisters.
Blueberries, strawberries, peaches, broccoli, spinach, and countless others are available in small and large frozen packages. For fruits and some veggies, drop them in your blender for a tasty smoothie or let them thaw and eat. Some are pretty good frozen….cranberries for example. That is if you like cranberries, which I do .
If you're not interested in smoothies or raw veggies, grab a bag a mixed vegetables and some cauliflower rice. Add your favorite protein and make a delicious stir-fry. Who doesn’t like stir fry? Just take it easy on the teriyaki and soy sauce to reduce your sodium intake for the day.
And if you're still looking for a way to get in your daily nutrients, I recommend checking out our Tactical Greens and Weaponized Whey.
Stay healthy and don't forget to wash your hands!
